In search of the best liquid foundations.

Happy Sunday 🙂

This is a different kind of post, short and sweet. I have been searching and searching everywhere for foundation but I never know which ones to buy. So I thought what better way to find one then on here asking the “experts” you. 😋

I have been using the NAKED brand and it’s ok I like it but it doesn’t give a complete coverage like I want. Also I used the Born this Way for awhile but I got sick of that one too. So I am asking all of you fellow  bloggers out there what is y’alls holy grail liquid foundation? ?

*There are millions of brands out there For sure. Lol. Help a girl out and let me know in the comments what you have been using or used! Please leave a short nice review about why you like it! I am looking for a matte bright(my face is quite red so I want to cover that!) full coverage that stays on all day loooong 🙂

I look forward to reading what you have to say and I hope I get a great product to purchase out of this post. Tysm lovelies 💖

  1. Here is a post I wrote on foundation. https://cornfedcontessa.com/2017/04/06/covergirl-outlast-all-day-stay-fabulous-3-in-1-foundation-review/ I really like this foundation when I want full coverage. I usually just use concealer around my eyes and on my nose. I was at Walgreens today and the girl working in cosmetics had great looking make up. We chatted for a minute and she told me she’s been using the new Wet n Wild Photo Focus foundation. She said she has cystic acne and this foundation really covers it up well. She said she gets compliments on her make up all the time. I would have never guessed she had any skin issues looking at her. Plus it’s only $6. Walgreens has a Wet n Wild sale going on now. Plus there were coupons in this Sunday’s paper. I’ve been wearing make up for over 40 years. I think you can find drug store brands that perform just as well as high end ones. Plus I’m way too cheap to spend more than $10 for foundation. Good luck with your search.

  2. Have you ever tried the Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation? It’s definitely full coverage and lasts a loooong time! It’s definitely a thicker/heavier foundation, but it’s a really good one if you’re looking for super full coverage and legitimate lasting power! Xoxo

  3. okay okay!!! I don’t even use foundation BUTTTTT while I was on vacation I got SOOO sunburned and I was at a point where my face was peeling so like half my skin was brown while the other half was white (yeah soooo not cute) so I went to sephora like STAT and was like please help me find a foundation to cover this….they gave me the make up forever foundation and oh my lord was it the BEST foundation ever. Covered up everything perfectly, my skin was so smooth, looked natural, stayed on really well (for a full 8 hour work day and it was hot out), just really good quality! Oh and had spf in it which I totally needed haha

  4. I definitely agree with Estee Lauder Double Wear. I also liked Milanis new foundation and the Wet N Wild Photo Focus as well for drug store full coverage foundations. For medium coverage I really like Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless.

  5. I’m currently on my second bottle of the Born This way and I definitely agree, I’m getting bored of it. My holy grail so far is the Estee Lauder Double Wear. Lots of coverage (even under the eyes!), matte and it lasts *all* day. Seriously, it doesn’t budge. It also doesn’t settle into wrinkles or smile lines either. It’s one of those foundations that does so much but still looks like skin and natural. I’m seriously having withdrawal, I might have to switch back soon. Let me know if you have any more questions! ⚡

  6. Hey girly! I know how hard it can be to find the right foundation-totally got you sista 😉
So two of my favorite foundations are both from Mary Kay-the luminous-wear liquid foundation does offer a bit lighter coverage, and produces a natural glowy look, but its very durable and stays on the whole day long and its totally my holy grail product xD Another foundation I’d recommend for fuller coverage is Mary Kay’s Medium Coverage foundation, I believe its more matte and also is very durable and long-lasting. If you don’t know anyone personally who sells Mary Kay products, I believe you can look on Amazon to buy either of these foundations 🙂 Anyways hope this helps xx

      1. The Double Wear? I’ve tried it- I have oily skin, mild acne as well- and some texture around my nose area. The coverage is UNREAL, but i find it a little heavy and only like application with a beauty blender! I found there color selection to run a little pink as well! A think a GREAT dupe for he double wear is the L’Oréal Infallible Pro Matte & the Covergirl 3 in 1, if you can find a shade in them try them, for 9$ tops you won’t be disappointed!

  8. I’ve used MAC Studio Fix Fluid and the coverage is amazing. It’s matte, has a HUGE selection of shades and I’d happily get 12+hours wear with it and it photographs amazing. It’s my go to going out make-up that doesn’t feel too heavy.
It’s £23.50 here in the U.K., I’m not sure how much in dollars though sorry.

  9. Thanks for the follow! I’m working on a post right now that includes my favorite makeup item and it’s a liquid foundation! I’m obsessed with the Urban Decay All Nighter Liquid Foundation- it has amazing coverage! I have oily skin so I pair it with the Urban Decay De-Slick Complexion Primer and it does not budge!!
